Hi Tamar, We had such a wonderful experience with you in Jerusalem! The combination of your deep knowledge about each of the places we saw along with your clear lifelong love of the place was infectious. I wish I had a week there instead of a day. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience – I feel very lucky that you were our guide in such an important place in the world.

Hello Tamar, I want to thank you on behalf of Ornit Yanai-Kohelet (the owner of the company) and on behalf of the entire staff of Q-Trials, on the wonderful and enjoyable tour of the Machane Yehuda market and the nearby neighborhoods. The impression of the tour was very positive, with a lot of praise of you and the tour itself, which was conducted in a light, fun, interesting and experiential way and that left us with a taste for more. Likewise, the tastings were also above and beyond – definitely tasty and filling. We would be very happy to recommend you in the future. Thank you again for everything, and good luck in the future!

…four of us went together to celebrate a 60th birthday. We spent time with you in the Old City markets, on the roofs and in the cellars. You are amazing, full of knowledge and an exceptional storyteller. Thank you for a wonderful morning.

After we spent an entire day in our capital, and several hours before alcohol was flowing through our veins, we all got off the bus and met you in the Machane Yehuda market. In the alleyways of Nachlaot we heard fascinating stories, in the shuk we tasted sweet and savory, and everything was precisely the right amount. In our eyes it was a spark of lightning. We thank you for the wonderful tour, and that you were so pleasant. We hope that you continue to do everything with love, we all send you a big thanks.

THANK YOU — an unbelievable day in my life… Tamar, this is Jim Smith, from your small private tour on Saturday. I felt compelled to email you, and THANK YOU…SO MUCH for possibly the most unbelievable, informational, enjoyable, educational, emotionally moving day of my lift. I cannot believe what you covered, showed, and toured us through in six hours — I wished we could have gone on for the rest of the day. What history in such a small section of ground, one that addresses so many cultures, beliefs, and religions. We have traveled a lot with our two children, who are now both in college. We have always sourced private guides, versus large tours groups. As I compare you to those of the past, you are at the top of my list. I hope to return to Israel with my wife and kids, so look for a call from me. So happy I collected your card so I have your email. If you change your email address, please make sure you inform me. Thanks for my special day…so appreciated.

A trip to Israel is not complete without spending time with Tamar. Our relationship has evolved over the years from a family touring the country with an experienced guide to a real friendship. Tamar’s incredible knowledge about Israel is deep and broad – its history, diverse cultures and ethnicities, neighborhoods, markets, foods and the hidden, unknown “gems”. She is amazing with children of all ages — patient, loving, engaging and teaches on their level, with her magical storytelling. What really stands out is Tamar’s deep love of the land, the natural beauty of this unique country, the hiking trails, national parks, farms, orchards, and countless places to explore in both cities and countryside. Tamar will make your trip more fun, educational and memorable. You will leave loving Tamar and Israel even more.

My conversation with you showed me that you are exactly the tour guide that I was searching for, and indeed I wasn’t disappointed. On the contrary, we really won. Pleasant explanations, the pleasantness of your manner, the patience and tolerance that are an integral part of your personality. And above all, the extensive knowledge that pours forth from you. You gave us a taste for more. It is my pleasure to help promote you so that more people can enjoy as we did.

Tamar was an excellent guide. It wound up being a bonus that she lived in Ein Karem. The tour was very nice. An interesting tour, a beautiful place, the guide was terrific.

Thank you for the very experiential tour. Michal and I really love Jerusalem and the break from the daily grind was great. Once or twice a year we let ourselves unplug and clear our heads, and we always enjoy meeting people with knowledge and who can also impart their knowledge in a way that it’s possible to enjoy and learn. So it was definitely a learning and enjoyable experience and we hope that we can see more in the future in similar meetings on different topics and different places. Thank you and have a good week.

We were delighted to be at your mercy and SO SO pleased with our afternoon with you. We both eagerly agreed how much we would have missed had we not met up with you. You are truly gifted at what you do. We felt that many guides just talked “at” us, versus you were so vigilant, diligent, only gave us what we could absorb and process….thank you for your courtesy. Again, it was our pleasure to meet you. I will most certainly recommend you to others that inquire about our trip. My best, CJS.
Tamar, Thank you for the wonderful tour to Jerusalem on Friday. It was a beautiful day.

Thanks Tamar for your intense guidance of old Jerusalem. Such an ancient, diverse, intriguing, mystical and mysterial, thought-provoking city where, through the centuries until today, people all over dream of living. I am happy your knowledge and explanations deepened my experience.
Thank you for the tour that you organized for us in Jerusalem, the tour was interesting and fascinating. I have already been on several guided tours in Jerusalem and you succeeded in surprising me with places that I had never before visited. The feedback that I received from our international guests was identical and they enjoyed every moment. Some of our international guests mentioned that they had been on many tours of Jerusalem with different guides and that this was the most interesting one. Thank you.

We wanted to give a tremendous thank-you to our guide Tamar!! We really enjoyed seeing how in just a few minutes she was able to capture the hearts of all of the children and knew them all by name…we are sure that her graphic explanations and her stories about all of the things that we saw along the way will remain in the memories of all the participants. Thank you for turning Adi’s bat mitzvah into an experience for her and the entire family!

Hi Tamar, It was truly a magical and unique tour. You managed to excite even the veteran Israelis like me and some of the other staff, that tour around and know the Jerusalemite neighborhoods. And even so this tour was something else, very unique and different, and very enchanting!! Many thanks on the continuous connection, on your willingness to help even with things that weren’t related, and to tailor the tour to the audience and our special circumstances. Please send our thanks to Nitzan as well. He is a very special young man. It’s not every day that you meet a musician like him, who has within him a lot beyond playing music. Such depth, such passion, such connection!! A wonderful day!

Dear Tamar, I wanted to send a note to express my enormous gratitude for the session you led for the Dorot Fellows in Israel. Inviting you back to meet another cohort of our Fellowship was the wild success that we expected it to be after your first meeting with our guys. On both occasions we asked you to take us into the world of the Machane Yehuda market (in Jerusalem) and the food industry in Israel as part of our educational programming, and despite giving you such a short window of time you managed to create a learning environment for us that was in-depth, and yet covered a huge range of topics: food sustainability, wealth and poverty and food security, politics, Kashrut, sociology, and all of that, with the most exquisite tasters throughout the tour. Apart from the content, we were so impressed by your ability to not only share yourself and knowledge with the group, but also your remarkable sensitivity to our needs. We were integrating your tour into a full day seminar on food issues in Israel, and you were totally tuned into what we had already done, where we were going next, the big questions we were asking for the day — and you were consistently ensuring that your input would add to everything else we had on our agenda. Your presentation style is fantastic, including serious content, but always presented in an easy to understand way, alongside sharing personal anecdotes about where you stand on some of these issues — those personal stories always being real gems. Tamar — thank you! Looking forward to inviting you back to meet our next group of Fellows. Best wishes, Neil Harris
