Holiness and Magic in Ein Karem
A wondrous journey through the picturesque village of Ein Karem, where the 3 major religions intersect.
Walking through the enchanting alleyways to the sounds of echoing church bells, spring water and singing birds allows us to slow down, breathe the clear mountain air and connect to the local culture, to the present and past, to holiness and spirituality.
The village, surrounded by ancient terraces where grapes and olives, almonds and figs grow, is the birthplace of John the Baptist. It is a home for artists and intellectuals, and a center for galleries and restaurants.
A few minutes of walking will reveal endless worlds and cultures to us — magical gardens, alleys and courtyards; unique convents and monasteries, nuns who pray in Hebrew and teach Judaism, hidden treasures and much more.

Creators and Dreamers — Following Women and Femininity in Ein Karem
Walking through the quaint alleys, convents, and gardens we will explore the village through the eyes of the women who shaped it.
We will wander through 2000 years of femininity and recount the stories of those who once lived there and those who live there today — women who dream, create and build, who have made the village into what it is today. From the Virgin Mary and Elizabeth to Queen Helena, all the way to modern artists, unique nuns and many others.
